My most popular service is Live Illustration.
I create quick watercolour portraits of guests on the spot bringing a fun, personal, and heartfelt touch to weddings, parties, markets, and special events.
These “guest portraits” are always a hit and bring so much joy and connection to the moment.
I also offer custom commissions including pet and people portraits, and handmade art products like greeting cards, bookmarks, keyrings, and clay brooches all created with love from my home studio in Sorell, Tasmania.

Jida is a Thai watercolour artist based in Tasmania, with a heart for people and a brush full of joy. She’s best known for her live portrait illustrations speedy, hand-painted keepsakes created on the spot at markets, weddings, and special events. Her signature style is soft, cute, and romantic, capturing the essence of each person in a playful way.
Since launching Art by Jida in 2024, she’s brought smiles to countless faces through her gentle, expressive art. Her offerings have grown to include custom commissions, original watercolour pieces, and a collection of handmade gifts inspired by Tasmania’s natural beauty and slow, peaceful rhythm.
